Scolmore are looking for a Warehouse Goods In Manager to manage the warehouse inventory teams and be responsible for managing daily stock operations, ensuring accurate inventory levels and maintaining a seamless warehouse operation to achieve growing business demands.
Main Duties
• Manage / direct and monitor the performance of the warehouse for the organisation including the development and maintenance of the warehouse goods in / inventory of returns.
• The role will include but is not limited to recruitment / training / set action and targets / appraise and manage performance / developing employees / coaching and general support of all team members to ensure targets are met.
• Motivate and manage the warehouse goods In team.
• Organise and plan the workload for the warehouse goods in and returns teams, working to strict deadlines and prioritising specific duties depending on business demand.
• Work to agreed business KPI’s to ensure accuracy is met across all areas.
• Stock condensing and stock rotation.
• Identify and allocate master bin locations for new stock lines.
• Preparing and documenting daily deliveries.
• Work closely with operational managers / purchasing department and other relevant departments to organise the efficient flow of inventory.
• Uphold and actively promote following company policies and procedures including Health & Safety.
• Work with a high level of integrity and maintain high standards of work.
• Liaise with other senior heads of departments across the business.
• Be involved in the discussion / decision making around new ideas / processes and roles / responsibilities of team members.
• Maintain a good level of housekeeping within the warehouse.
• Responsible for monitoring the fire drill procedure and ensuring it is followed by the warehouse Inventory team. Carry out any potential disciplinaries or investigations in a timely manner.
• Deal with absences within the team, including being the first point of contact for sickness absence notifications and hold return to work conversations ensuring all associated documentation is completed within a timely manner.
• FLT experience is preferred , full refresher training will be provided
Skills and Experience
• FLT licence holder
• Computer literate with an understanding of IT
• A good working knowledge of health and safety in the workplace
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Leadership skills, with the ability to organise and delegate work and motivate the team.
• Work within a large team and be able to work on own initiative.
• Experience of Goods In
• Experience of KPI Management
• Good knowledge of Stock Handling
• Ability to liaise with colleagues at a senior level.
